Sorrento (four – five hours)
SorrentoIn the sky of the most known resorts of Southern Italy, Sorrento’s start shines very much. The unmistakable cluster of white tightly packed houses rising up the hillside is dominated by the beautiful Cathedral which stands superbly on the lop of a great flight of steps leading up from the main square. The Duomo dates from the 10th century and was further enhanced through the centuries up till the 1800's and displays a mix of styles, from Moorish to Norman, to Gothic, A contact with Amalfi “very bound to the sea”‘s past is given by ancients “Arsenali”, the place where “galee”, boats, were built and where some proofs of the splendour are still preserved.
